# Channel Points: User Guide

Earn Channel Points by watching your favorite creators and taking part in channel activities. Use your points to enter Predictions, and track your activity through rankings and your points history.

Channel Points are earned separately for each creator. You cannot combine points from different channels. Earning amounts, watch requirements, and reward limits depend on the policy that applies to each channel.

### Check your points and history

1. Sign in and open **My Info**.
2. Select the **Channel Points** tab.
3. Select a creator's card to display that channel's points history below it.

* **Available Points:** Points you can currently use.
* **Total Earned:** Points you have earned so far. This can differ from your available balance after you spend points.
* **Points History:** Dates, times, reasons, and amounts of changes to your points. Click **Show More** to view older entries.

### Earn Channel Points

The following activities can earn points under a channel's policy. You may stop earning for an activity once you reach its reward limit.

| Activity                  | How you earn points                                                                                  |
| ------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Free subscription         | Start a free subscription to a creator, subject to the reward conditions.                            |
| Live donation             | Make a standard text or roulette donation using coins.                                               |
| Automatic watch rewards   | Watch a stream while signed in. Points are awarded automatically as eligible watch time accumulates. |
| Claimable watch rewards   | Meet the watch requirement, then click the gift-box button when it appears.                          |
| Paid subscription payment | Complete a new paid subscription or automatic renewal payment, subject to the reward conditions.     |
| Video or file purchase    | Complete an eligible paid video or file purchase.                                                    |

#### Two types of watch rewards

**Automatic rewards** do not require a click. Check the earning notification or your history under **My Info → Channel Points** to see the points you received.

**Claimable watch rewards** appear as a gift-box icon at the bottom of stream chat.

1. Watch a stream while signed in.
2. Click the gift-box button when it appears at the bottom of chat.
3. After a successful claim, check the **+points** indicator to see how many points you received.

The gift box appears only while a reward is available to claim. Simply leaving the stream page open does not necessarily meet the watch requirement. Time when the stream has ended, playback is paused, or an advertisement is playing may not count toward watch rewards.

#### Paid subscription multipliers

If your paid subscription tier has a Channel Points multiplier, eligible earnings use that multiplier. If you subscribe to several paid tiers, only the highest multiplier applies. Multipliers do not stack and do not apply to **Past Channel Points**.

### Claim Past Channel Points

If you have previously paid for subscriptions or content on a channel, check whether you can claim Past Channel Points there.

1. Open the creator's channel.
2. Select **Channel Points Rankings**.
3. Click **Claim Past Channel Points**.
4. Check the claim result for your eligible subscription months, content purchases, and awarded points.

Your claim uses the following activity as of the time you claim:

* **Paid subscriptions:** Eligible subscription months before the current month. The month in which you claim is excluded.
* **Content purchases:** Eligible paid video and file purchases made before your claim.

Your reward is the sum of eligible subscription months multiplied by the applicable amount and eligible purchases multiplied by their applicable amount. Refunded and free purchases do not count.

You can receive this reward **once per channel**. If no points are awarded because you have no eligible activity, your claim opportunity is not used up.

### View Channel Points rankings

Select **Channel Points Rankings** on a creator's channel to see the top 20 viewers. Choose a period to compare activity.

| Period     | What it counts                                                   |
| ---------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| All Time   | All points earned so far.                                        |
| Today      | Activity points earned today.                                    |
| This Week  | Activity points earned since Monday of the current week.         |
| This Month | Activity points earned since the first day of the current month. |

Periods use Korea Standard Time (KST). Rankings are based on points earned, rather than your current balance. Past Channel Points count toward All Time only. They do not count toward Today, This Week, or This Month.

### Enter a Prediction

When a creator opens a question during a stream, use Channel Points to predict the outcome.

#### Open the Prediction

Click the **Prediction in Progress** banner in stream chat, or the **trophy-shaped Predictions button** at the bottom of chat.

The banner disappears when entries close. Use the trophy button to check the current Prediction's status. You cannot enter after entries close.

#### Choose an outcome and enter points

1. Read the question and check the time remaining.
2. Select the outcome you expect.
3. Enter the Channel Points you want to use. Click **All In** to enter the maximum allowed amount.
4. Review your selection and amount, then click **Predict**.

Each outcome shows:

* **Number beside the person icon:** Participants who selected that outcome.
* **Number beside the diamond icon:** Points submitted for that outcome.
* **Percentage and bar:** That outcome's share of all points submitted. This is not the probability of the outcome being correct.
* **Estimated Multiplier:** The estimated return if that outcome is correct, including your original points. It can change as more entries arrive. If there is not enough entry data to calculate it, the multiplier is shown as undetermined.

Click the **refresh icon** beside the question to retrieve the latest participation figures. The figures do not continuously update automatically.

> Points are deducted as soon as you submit your entry. You cannot change or cancel your selection or amount afterward, and you cannot enter again. All In uses the maximum permitted by both your balance and the Prediction's entry limit.

#### Check your entry

After a successful entry, **Entry Complete** appears and your selected card is highlighted. Check **My Entry** for your chosen outcome and submitted points.

After entries close, the status changes to **Awaiting Result**. The creator may close entries early. Wait for the actual stream outcome to be confirmed.

### Check the result and your points

Refresh the Prediction you entered to check its result. The correct outcome is highlighted, and your result shows **Points Used** and **Points Received**.

| Result                 | What happens to your points                                                                                                     |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Correct Prediction     | The total points pool is distributed among participants who chose the correct outcome, in proportion to their submitted points. |
| Incorrect Prediction   | Your submitted points are not returned. No additional points are deducted when the result is announced.                         |
| Prediction Canceled    | Your submitted points are refunded in full. Everyone is also refunded if nobody chose the correct outcome.                      |
| Settlement in Progress | Payouts or refunds are still being processed. Refresh the status and check your received points after settlement finishes.      |

**Points Received** includes your original points. For example, if you used 100 points and received 250, your net gain is 150 points. If you are the only participant and choose correctly, you may receive only the amount you submitted.

The result may be confirmed before points finish processing. Amounts shown during settlement are not necessarily final. Check the completed result alongside your points balance.

A separate past Predictions list is not currently available. Check the result in that Prediction's screen after it is announced.

### Frequently asked questions

#### Why am I not earning points?

Check that you are signed in and the stream is actually playing. You may have reached the channel's reward limit, or the activity may not qualify. First check that channel's history under **My Info → Channel Points**.

#### Why can't I see the gift-box button?

It appears only after you meet the watch requirement and while the reward is available. It may not appear if you have already claimed the reward, the claim period has ended, or that reward is not offered.

#### Why can't I enter a Prediction?

Check whether entries have closed, whether you have already entered, and whether you have enough available points for that channel. Creators cannot enter their own Predictions as viewers.

#### Why does my payout differ from the estimated multiplier?

The estimated multiplier reflects participation when you last retrieved the figures. It can change as more entries arrive before the deadline. Fractional points are rounded down during final settlement.
